العلاقة بين خصائص المعلم ودورها في رفع دافعية الطلبة نحو الدراسة

The teacher is an essential element, the cornerstone and the strongest link in any educational process. He is the spirit of this process, its central nerve and its main pillar, because it is a transmitter of experience, knowledge and experience, and through it the rest of the other professions graduated. It is also responsible for preparing qualified and trained manpower to meet the diverse needs of society, and is responsible for formulating the ideas of young people, shaping their behavior, forming their values and ideals, and integrating them into the society in which they live. The teacher’s responsibility before the community extends to include the transfer of cultural heritage and the preservation and maintenance of this heritage, in addition to his responsibility to contribute to the reform and upgrading of the community to overcome the difficulties and obstacles that prevent its growth and progress. The research aims, in general, to answer the following questions: (1) What are the characteristics and characteristics of an effective teacher that have an impact on students’ motivation towards studying from the point of view of students and teachers? (2) What is the relationship between teacher characteristics and their role in raising students’ motivation towards study? The sample of the study consisted of (30) female students of the first secondary and second grades in its scientific and literary branches from Iskan Yajouz Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls (study community) of the Second Amman Directorate in and 30 female teachers from various disciplines in Arwa Bint Abdul Muttalib School (study community) affiliated For the fourth district of Amman in the Capital Governorate in Jordan. As a result of this study, the female students and teachers agreed on the most important characteristic related to raising the motivation towards studying, which is the role of the teacher as a facilitator and a guide to the educational process, with a small difference of 7%. And that the characteristics of the teacher that affect the motivation towards study differ between female students and female teachers, as the most preferred feature for female teachers is related to the cognitive aspect, while the female students relate to the personal aspect.
