تحديات قيادة المرأة في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية

The purpose of this study is to address the challenges faced by the Jordanian women in workplaces. To achieve this purpose the researcher reviewed the recent reports and literature published recently that targets the challenges of women leadership in Jordan. A variety of elements were found and categorised into four levels: personal, societal, structural, and strategic, in terms of what impacts attitudes on participation and gender equality (sub-question ii). Stakeholders were more likely than focus group participants to identify structural and strategic factors as obstacles (for example, laws or institutional access, childcare provision), but focus group participants were more likely to place a greater emphasis on personal and societal factors (for example, perceptions of husbands, notions of shame and honour, socialisation into highly gendered roles, essentialized biological notions of masculinity and femininity, perceptions of physical and sexual vulnerability, and fear of violence).
